Maryam is a Walnut Creek attorney and a certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. With 21 years of experience and an LL.M. in Taxation, she brings deep expertise in estate, gift, capital gains, and property tax—plus a strong background in family law.
Her talk, “Death Taxes,” will explain the three main taxes that arise after someone passes away, who they affect, and simple planning steps you can take now to reduce or eliminate them. She’ll also cover common do’s and don’ts and when you may need to update your trust. This session focuses on practical strategies for everyday families.
